If you plan on a day-trip outside the city of Bangalore, you may well go see the Jog Falls at the Hirebhasgar Reservoir, on the Shravati River. There are four falls, each of them with different characteristics. A walk to the bottom of the falls is very worthwhile, and one to the top will give you thrilling views of the valley. Beware of leeches, if you go to the base of the cascades.
