The National Art gallery in Chennai is for sure one of the most beautiful buildings in town. Not only its architecture is worth seeing, nut also the collections of old paintings and sculptures, the handicrafts and ivory carvings that date back to the 12th century. The museum is situated on Pantheon Road and is open daily between 9 30 and 17 00. Entrance fee:5 US$, apart from some extra money for cameras.
