On the coast road to Mahabalipuram, 19 kilometres from Chennai, there is the Cholamandal village, where there is a community of artists, settled here for 40 years. They sell, work and exhibit their sculptures, paintings and pottery in the village. So if you drop by, you can see them work. Sometimes, in the evening, there are dance performances.
