At the DGHC Tourism centre, near the Tista Bazaar, they organize incredible 2-day trips in the area and not only. Water-rafting on the Tista is included, for only 450 to 1200 rupis. So if you're keen on rafting and exploring, just book your trip in time and make sure you've got some extra clothes for the whole period.
