Books cand be very cheap in Hyderabad, if you go to the right place. At Ashkara, at the Pavani estates, Road no 2, you can find excellent collections on India in English. At the Walden, on Greenlands Road, opposite the Blue Moon Hotel, there are books on absolutely everything. Bargaining is advisable.
