Old city of Jaipur

First of all you should visit the Old City, painted pink in honor of the arrival of the Prince of Wales in 1876. The landmark is the Heaven Piercing Minaret, from the top of which you have a priceless overlook on the entire city. Also, a major interest point is the City Palace, which, like most of the palaces in India, impresses through marvelous detailed wall-sculptures and grandeur of buildings. Various museums are opened to the public, displaying clothing collections, manuscripts, weaponry. The gardens inside the complex are real oasis of refreshing tranquility.
