If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, the Taj Mahal Hotel, in Apollo Bunder could be the solution. The original red old building was completed with a new modern skyscraper(Taj Mahal Inter-Continental), so you can choose between either one of them for having a drink. The disco is also okay, frequented by local Indians.
Tip: try to stay as far from the back of the hotel as possible, drunks and prostitutes are often around.
