From early March until late April, the town of Mysore is crowded for the fair of the Temple Car festival in Nanjangud, 23 kilometres south of Mysore. At the Vairamudi festival, deities are adorned with 3 diamond crowns, at Melkote Temple, 50 kilometres form Mysore. Worth seeing, for the religious ones and not only.
