marise's question:
Is the camel fair in Pushkar only an occasion for merchants or it's accompanied by a series of other feasts?(give a different answer) .
It's actually more than the will of the tribal Indians of selling their prized dromedaries, just groomed and perfumed. Each November, before the full moon, they rush in Pushkar for the races, parades and dances. It's more like a carnival, with acrobats and dancers in the streets, therefore attracting filmmakers and photographers. The Rajasthanis, in love with colourful clothing, put on now their most ornate turbans and saris.
